Schloss Hünegg, Hilterfingen aon Lake Thun

From 2016 to 2018, over a period of more than three years, I had the privilege of carrying out the full restoration of 54 Art Nouveau luminaires – all dating from around 1899 – at Schloss Hünegg in Hilterfingen.

This work was far more than a technical project; it was an encounter with the aesthetic and spirit of the fin de siècle, the transitional period between the 19th and 20th centuries.

The results were documented in a 64-page publication, detailing both the craft-based restoration process and the history of each individual luminaire.
